Helping for real

One of my pet peeves involves residents having little to do in the home. It may seem minor, but some people with dementia like to have a regular task. So one person might help set the tables for meals. Another help with the garden, like water the vegetables. So vegetables grow but sometimes the vegetables don't get used. Some small group homes don't have a problem because they work within the rules but find a use for the food. We need to think about how residents can feel that they contribute to their home.
