She wakes at 8am. She prefers to shower before breakfast and she likes to do most of it herself. The carer washes her back because she can’t reach. Breakfast is in the dining room at 8.30am. Sometimes people are busy and she doesn’t have the shower until later. That unsettles her for the rest of the morning. They know and they try to keep to her routine. Not just because she likes her routine but because she has a right to have her routine. She is a person and she is at the centre of the caring.
