Today I want chicken

It used to be that someone would come around and ask people what they wanted to eat for the next week. Each meal logged and delivered. Only people forget. Cottage pie appeared before them and they spy the roast chicken of their neighbour. So they want chicken. Now when a person sits to have a meal someone asks what food appeals. Most homes might have a choice of a hot meal or a cold meal. Still, it is a choice. Some have a few choices which make decisions hard. The main meal menu offers soup, main meal, and dessert. Usually. People with dementia can choose too. Just not too many choices. If they don’t want a dish they will keep their mouth shut. Literally.
