Rainy Days

She goes to the window and looks outside. The rain comes down in a heavy stream on the window pane. It’s rained all morning. The lights are on in the lounge area because it’s too dark otherwise. A few people have gathered. Some play card games and others start gathering ready for lunch. She sits looking out of the window. People running from cars to the front door. Some don’t see the puddle. The next shift starts soon. Even in the rain, there is something to see.
