Just Passing Through

She looks up when someone new walks past. Her eyes search the person’s face and eyes to see if the person returns the gaze. If the person says “morning” she smiles and returns the greeting. Then she returns her attention to the person attending her. In the corridor, another person leans heavily on her frame. She looks to the person passing by. She nods with a slight smile when the person acknowledges her. Then she straightens and pushes her frame towards the hall.
