She walks behind

She walks a few metres behind him. Her in her smart knee-high black ugg boots. He says nothing to her and she does not acknowledge him. They almost match each other’s pace. She seems a little slower, her steps less sure. As she passes, she smiles and her furrowed face lights up; a little. Maybe they had a fight and so don’t talk. Or do they always walk apart?
