On the Way

They stop to chat on the way to somewhere else. Both are of the same vintage. He chats away and does most of the talking. Not far away stands his two shopping trolleys loaded with his worldly goods. The other stands quietly as his dog pulls at the leash. Finally, he gets a chance to add his two bits. They keep talking and the dog keeps trying to wander away. He just wants a walk.
