Rain

He walks the long walk. The drive way stretches pass the house and out to the road. And the rain keeps falling. The water bypasses the drains and flows to the road. There is no point trying to avoid the water. It falls from the sky and swishes around the feet. So he wears a plastic hoodie, shorts and flip flops. He treads carefully so he doesn’t fall. He is of the age where falls do happen.
